Should You Completely Avoid Foods With Acid?

While too much acidity causes much danger to the body, it is still not beneficial for our body to completely avoid these foods.  The reason is that although there is just a very limited offer of nutrients for our body, there must be a balance of 80-20 level of it in our blood.  Therefore, we must have 20 percent of acidity in our blood.

What are the possible health benefits of these acid forming foods in our body?  The acids aid in the build-up of bones and muscle development.   These acids are – folic acid, lauric acid, and ascobic acid.  The acid forming foods also assist in the absorption of vitamin D in our body.  Vitamin D is very essential in the absorption of important minerals such as calcium, phosphate and magnesium.

Too much consumption of these foods can cause various problems such as weight issues, acidosis, acid reflux and the growth and inhibition of many free radicals and harmful bacteria and virus.

If there is something that we must have an excessive intake of, that is the consumption of alkaline forming foods.  These foods are the exact opposite of the acid forming foods.  Foods that are high in alkaline provide our bodies with the richness of what life can offer.  It generally makes us capable of reversing all the ill effects of acid forming foods and make us look younger because we have been cleaned from the inside.

Here are some example of extremely alkaline forming foods:  beet greens, cabbage, dandelion greens, baked potatoes, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, celery, eggplant, swiss chard, mushrooms, squash, turnips, apricots, bananas, apples, pomegranates, blackberries, blueberries, tomato, strawberry, pineapple, lime, lemon, oranges, tangerine, grapefruits, watermelon, dates, grapes, dates, and cherries.

There are still a whole lot more to include in the list of alkaline forming foods.  This means that your diet will be very interesting.  Just remember not to pressure yourself since there isn’t any food that is prohibited at all.  The most important thing is for us to have a moderate consumption of the acid forming foods.  You can begin your alkaline diet by replacing just 1 meal a day, then have 1 meal and all of your snacks replaced by alkaline foods, improve your diet every week by adding more alkaline foods and lesser of the acid forming foods.
